In a hurry? Here are the best products at a glance.
On the lookout for some great trekking tents? So are we! We’ve spent days researching and reviewing, looking for our favorites. We’ve managed to compile a list of the best backpacking tents we could find. We’ve listed out each one and given you some of the reasons why we love them along with some important stats. Here are those stats we used to help us pick our favorites:
Capacity: Capacity refers to how many people your tent is designed to hold. There are one-person tents that can hold only one, all the way up to four or more-person tents that are big enough for the whole family.
Seasons: This number will tell you how many seasons this tent is ready for. Most tents are three-season tents, but if you want to cold weather camp, you’ll need a four-season tent to protect you from the cold.
Waterproof: All outdoor tents are either waterproof or water resistant. If your tent isn’t waterproof enough for you, there are always waterproof rain flys that can be added to them for better water protection when you’re camping.
Weight: How much does your tent weigh? While this might not seem like an important question, it is the most important! If you plan to carry your tent on your back, the difference of a pound or two can be huge.
Colors: We’ll let you know how many colors it comes in here. If the trekking tent comes in more than one color, we’ll let you know your options in the description of the item. Who doesn’t like to have a choice?
Size: How big is the inside of the tent? Width and length are important to ensure the tent is long enough for you (and others) to sleep comfortably. We’ll also let you know the height of the tent, too.
We’re ready for our top ten best hiking tents. We’ve chosen our favorite ten tents that really stood out against the rest of the pack. But the top two are extra special; the first place will always go to our Top Pick, while the second position will always be held for our number one Budget Pick. Now, let’s get to those reviews!
