Belt Width: Belts for powerlifting are usually 4 inches wide. You need a wider piece for this type of lifting so you have more space to press your abdominal muscles. When you push forward against the belt while lifting, you’re protecting your spine.
Weight: A heavier belt often means it’s more stable and provides better protection while lifting. This may be uncomfortable for people just starting out in powerlifting. A lighter belt, one made of a softer material with less padding, will give you more mobility.
Warranty: You want a belt that works seamlessly and helps you lift effectively. If your product has any manufacturing defects, a warranty will save you time and money. If your piece malfunctions, the manufacturer will replace or refund the belt.
