This is hands down one of the best remote control planes you can buy. Everything you need to start flying is included at an affordable price, no assembly required.

The Hobbyzone Sport Cub S is very beginner friendly and easy to learn. It has a panic button that auto-levels the plane when needed. It also uses SAFE technology (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) to improve stability and handling in windy conditions. These features, mixed with the sturdy and light-weight design, make it fun and simple to fly for anybody.

Once you know all controls, it's time for some advanced flying. The Sport Cub S lets you fly loops, barrel rolls, and more using the included 4-channel control, which has working throttle, rudder, elevator, and aileron. The Sport Cub S also uses a fixed main wheel and steerable tail wheel which make takeoff and landing easier.

The plane's body frame is made from polystyrene foam, a great choice that makes the airplane light and durable.
We crashed Sport Cub S several times without any damage. The only downside to this plane (and other RC airplanes) is that its batteries will eventually run out. Luckily, there's an easy and cheap solution for this: Just get one or two extra 4-packs of batteries, which extend your flight time by 30+ minutes each. Problem solved.

Overall, this is an all-around excellent RC aircraft. We  recommend the Sport Cub S because of its low price, durability, and beginner-friendly features.

This powerful RC plane doesn't just look cool, it's lightning fast and offers a great range of 900 feet! These specs make the Delta Ray perfect for high-performance flying. It's a great choice if you're looking for a nimble, responsive, and very agile RC airplane. Everything you need to get started is already included, which is a big plus. We recommend it for both beginners and for experienced pilots since it's easy to fly but has enough performance so that you have room to grow. Most importantly, this plane is a lot of fun!

The Delta Ray offers HobbyZone's four-step SAFE technology (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope), which makes it easy for beginner to get started quickly and progress to more advanced, manual flying. Like many other planes reviewed here, the Delta Ray includes a panic button which returns the plane to stable, level flight with the push of a button. It's a great feature to have! The plane also features HobbyZone's excellent AS3X gyro system for smoother handling. Tip: For any RC plane, we recommend getting a few extra batteries to extend your flight time. You can never have enough.

The Delta Ray's body is made from a light and very impact resistant foam which helps to protect it from crashes and hard landings. It should be noted that this plane can fly very fast and that crashes at high speeds could cause damage, so fly carefully and use the panic button early to stabilize the plane when you need to. That being said, this plane is pure entertainment! It's big, it's quick, and it's one of the best choices for flying stunts that will be the envy of your friends. You'll absolutely love it!

The Super Cup S is the bigger (and similarly named) cousin of the Sport Cub S reviewed above. It's a high quality and very reliable remote control airplane that offers some of the most stable flying of any RC planes we've tested.

You'll be surprised by the size of this plane: It's big, with a wingspan of almost four feet! The plane's size is its best feature tough, since the heavier weight and larger size make for more stable flying, especially in windy conditions. The plane also offers the useful SAFE technology (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) which automatically stabilizes it and makes it much easier to control for beginners.

The Super Cup S doesn't have ailerons (the little movable parts on the back of the wings) so it cannot perform barrel rolls. This is only a minor issue but worth knowing about. Other than that, the Super Cup S is an all-around excellent RC plane. Since it's easy to fly and very reliable, it's a great choice as a first time learning plane which offers room to grow as your flying skills advance.  There's a lot to like about this plane. One of the best things is the very long 10 minute flight time. It's among the longest you can get. Tip: Because recharging the battery can take up to 90 minutes, get a couple of cheap, extra batteries here.

In summary, the Super Cup S is one of the highest quality and most impressive RC airplanes we've tested. It handles beautifully, is easy to fly, and offers great long term value.

If you want one word to sum up the F4U Corsair it's WOW! This plane doesn't just look amazing, it's also one of the most nimble, acrobatic, and all-around excellent remote controlled airplanes you can get. There's a LOT to like here!

The F4U's design is based on the the famous Vought Corsairs that flew in World War II - and just like its real-life counterpart, this RC aircraft is a fierce flyer. The F4U makes it easy to roll, duck, dive, climb, and more. This makes the plane the perfect choice for intermediate and pro RC pilots who are looking to take their flying skills to the next level. On the flip side, this plane is not the ideal choice for beginners because of its more manual controls. For example, there's no panic button to automatically level out the plane. But if you're looking for a very responsive and powerful RC plane, the UMX F4U is hard to beat. It's agile and fun to fly, especially when you start flying it fast and when you do loops and other mid-air stunts. For experienced pilots, this is quite possibly the most fun you can get in a box!

Besides great agility, smooth handling, and blazing-fast speed, we also liked that the plane already comes fully assembled and its batteries quick recharge time. Both of these features make the plane very convenient to use when you first get it and on a day-to-day basis. You take it out of the box, charge it, and you're ready to fly. In short, this is one of the best RC planes for experienced pilots, offering top performance and an amazing, eye-catching design.

The E-flite UMX Radian features a modern aerodynamic design. We really liked the stable, one-piece wing that's made of light-weight foam supported by strong carbon fiber. The unique body of this remote control plane make it durable and very responsive and gives it a long flight range.

The Radian is definitely one of the overall best RC planes you can get, especially at its affordable price. It offers easy and stable flying, assisted by a great three axis stabilization feature which makes the plane more resistant to wind and other disturbances. The wide, streamlined design gives the Radian high maneuverability and smooth handling of a glider. Flying this plane always feels just right.

We also liked the excellent range and eight minute battery life which gives you more flight time than many other RC planes. A long battery life lets you focus on flying. Tip: You can get a few additional, cheap spare batteries here.

While the E-flite UMX Radian is affordable it doesn't come with a transmitter. This is only a minor issue though, since you can get great four-channel DSM2- or DSMX-compatible transmitters online, for example the excellent Spectrum DX61. High quality transmitters are a good investment for your RC airplane hobby because you can use them with a lot of different planes and because they extend your range.

Back to the E-flite UMX Radian, you'll be surprised by how small this plane looks. But don't be fooled: This RC aircraft packs a lot of flying power. While it doesn't have a panic button or a low power engine stutter feature, the single wing design ensures that it's still easy to fly. The Radian is a good choice if you're looking for a simple, entry-level remote control plane that you can buy at a very low price.

The Stratocam includes everything you need to start flying today, plus a very special feature: A new 720p HD camera that records your flights to an included SD card so that you can share your adventures with friends and family.

This plane also offers a unique wing design and many pro features. You get a useful panic stabilization button to quickly level the plane when you need it. Additionally, the Stratocam includes HobbyZone's proven SAFE technology (Sensor Assisted Flight Envelope) to automatically  improve flight stability. Plus, of course, that great built-in HD camera. All that comes at a low price usually reserved for RC airplanes with fewer features. In short, the HobbyZone Stratocam offers a lot of value for the money.

This RC plane is new to the market and features a body based on the Firebird Stratus for very stable flying. The big plus of this design is that the airplane is easy to fly and to land, making it a great choice for beginner RC pilots and for children. Note: Because of the Stratocam's wing shape and its missing ailerons it will be hard to perform loops with this plane and it's impossible to do barrel rolls. In other words, this plane is meant for relaxed and smooth cruising rather than for stunts. That's not a big deal in our opinion, but we wanted to make sure to point it out.

The plane is made from polyolefin, a soft type of foam that makes it sturdy and more impact resistant. In case of a crash, the plane shears its wings from the body to absorb most of the impact, in turn reducing damage. A great feature!

Overall, this RC plane is one of the best choices if you're looking for a nice and relaxed flying experience. It's most unique feature is the excellent, built-in HD camera.

Long flight time, very good durability, classic design, and a low price make the Hobbyzone Champ an excellent RC airplane to buy. We recommend it especially if you're an RC plane beginner or if you're looking for a great deal.

This plane is what most of us dreamed of as kids. Its classic yellow retro-design looks amazing against the blue sky and offers an easy and stable flying experience. The Champ is the quintessential, no-frills remote control plane.

While it doesn't offer some modern features like a stabilizing gyroscope or four channel flight, the Champ is simple to learn and very easy to fly. We recommend it for anybody looking for a great budget beginner RC plane and for a fun gift idea for kids - and adults :)

We crashed the plane several times (not on purpose, we promise) but the impact-resistant polystyrene body held up nicely every time. The plane doesn't have ailerons on its wings so you can't do barrel rolls, but with a little practice you can fly loops and other stunts. Note: This plane doesn't handle too well in windy conditions, so fly it on calm days.

The simple design makes the Champ easy to repair and to store. You can replace the landing gear, propellers, and other parts cheaply and with little work or knowledge. We definitely recommend getting some extra batteries here and also buying some spare propellers here.

If you're looking for a very affordable, classic RC plane that looks and flies amazing, you just found it.

Remote control planes don't come much more affordable than the HobbyZone Duet. Luckily, this doesn't mean that the plane cuts back on quality. As a matter of fact, the Duet offers great flying performance and very good reliability - all at an incredibly low price.

This RC plane has a slightly different design than most other airplanes you might have seen, because it has no rudder. Instead, it uses differential thrust (i.e. spinning propellers at different speeds) to make turns. It's not our preferred way of steering because it makes the airplane less agile and hampers its acrobatic ability, but it gets the job done. The benefit of this design is that there are fewer moving parts which could break and that the simpler design makes the very affordable price of the plane possible.

Like all the other RC planes reviewed here, we tested the Duet for several hours and had a consistently great time. The plane rolls realistically during takeoff and then manages to climb very responsively to 100 or more feet. Everybody who tried it had fun and loved the easy handling and wide, sweeping turns. It's a great RC plane for the whole family!

The Duet comes pre-assembled and offers a good flight time and range for the price. Speaking of price, because it's low, we find the plane less scary to fly for beginners who are often concerned about crashes. We recommend the Duet as a basic, entry-level plane - especially for beginners and for younger pilots. Tip: Buy a few extra batteries to extend the flight time and the fun! You can find cheap, matching batteries right here.

The Night Vapor is very durable and easy to fly. Its innovative design makes the plane straight forward to learn and to operate. Essentially, you get a set of light cellophane wings attached to a strong carbon spine. This body choice makes the plane nimble, light weight, and easy to store.

While the plane looks unique and anybody can fly it, we would say that the cost is a little lofty for what you get. Similar plane, especially the ones recommended above, offer a few more features (like a panic button and low power stutter) for the money. On the other hand, the Night Vapor RTF is very fun to fly and features a really cool and unique industrial design that's quite eye-catching. Its sturdy, reliable body also makes it a great choice as a gift.

We liked the long 10 minute flight time and quick 24 minute recharge time. Both are better than most other planes and let you spend more time having fun in the air.

Last but not least, it's nice that the plane comes fully assembled so that you can just charge it and be ready for takeoff! In summary, the Night Vapor is very sturdy and accident-resistant, easy to fly, and great for beginners.

In fact, it's the world's first smartphone controlled RC airplane. There's a lot to like here: 180 feet range, a lightweight paper body, and crash-resistant design make this a top RC plane experience that doesn't break the bank.

This plane is all about the basics of flight and about innovative design. We really liked the refreshing mix of origami and engineering, which provides a great flying experience. Once assembled, you control the PowerUp 3.0 using Bluetooth from your Apple or Android smartphone or tablet. Setup was quick and easy and the RC app is free. The plane is responsive to fly and allows for precision turning and quick height changes. Assembly is a breeze. Just fold the paper body, connect it to your phone, and you're ready to fly.

Overall, while it may not look like it, this tiny RC plane offers a lot of value and endless entertainment at an incredible price. We recommend it for its innovative technology and also because it's just a lot of fun to use!
